Talking Camaro5 Southlake Ch. Laps for Charity II

Alright ladies and gents. We welcome all members to join us in this so no one feel left out, 5th gen or not (or even something other than a Camaro). Called the Speedway Children's Charities office and set up a time for our group which I just called Camaro5 Southlake Chapter (what we seem to be called all the time). Our track time is 6:00p.m. and we are to meet over there and group up anywhere we like (as long as we remain under 50 cars, if we reach more than that I'll call and get our new instructions), go check in and then we will enter at the South entrance like always and be told where to line up. The date is September 10th this year as September 11th is on a Sunday. The donation for 3 laps is $30, with an option to give $10 more for a picture in Victory lane next to your car. If I recall they prefer it in cash which is easiest for everyone I imagine (not sure if they take checks but I'll call and ask if anyone would like to know, I bet they do).

Which brings us to where we want to meet. I'm thinking that we should meet somewhere and have dinner, then caravan, or rather Camaro-van over to the track so that we can all group up nicely.

We'll meet at the Pizza Inn on I35 and Heritage Trace at about 4:30 and eat. Then we'll head over to the track and check in!

Awesome! That's already 5 cars! I may have to call back and tell her it will be more than 15 of us haha! I think I'd rather eat before and that way we can all go over there together rather than trying to find one another at the track. Just personal preference though.

I might try and make it out to this one. My wife is due with our first child on the 2nd of September and her family comes in that day for 10 days. That means I may be able to break away for a while. I'm not a Camaro driver but I am sure I can keep up in the Jeep SRT-8.

I also do a lot of work for camaro owners around the DFW metroplex... so I will direct them this way and let them know. Just over in Fort Worth where I live there are a number of highly modded Camaros so I am sure a few of them will want to come out.

I doubt we will be around for this even though the camaro will still be up here in in storage along with the bikes. If it turns out that Saturday is one of the weekends we have to come back to pick up our stored items, I'll be sure to let you know. As it stands now we move back down to New Braunfels at the end of this month and then as soon as the house in finished we'll come back to get what we aren't letting the movers take.

Love everybody!

I printed out some of the Camaro5 business cards that you write your screen name on and you're supposed to place on cars you haven't seen on the forums. I've used one so far, there's a red one I hadn't seen before whose owners live in the neighborhood right next to my store, that's the only one I've used so far.
