I've ran 4 and beat 2/4. You need a good launch but a stock v6 manual will run low 14s so it can hang. Only way you have a good chance is against a stock auto or a manual without a good driver and you'll def need a 6MT V6, auto will lose to both.

This statement pretty much sums it up. In a perfect world with perfect drivers the v6 wont win against the v8 mustang. But add in different variables like a bad driver and anything is possible.

I watched a guy who couldn't do any better than high 12s to low 13s in his Z06 Vette.

Camaro V6 is no competition, stock or mod for mod. People underestime the 3v's since the 5.0 came out, but they still run good. Don't sleep on 'em!
Its stock, yea and then you state just a tune, mufflers intake and drag radials.

Sorry I guess I have to point out the obvious here, its not stock...

A road and track article, we took stock 1/4 mile times** from these cars.
**added a tune, and mufflers and an intake then for better traction we added drag radials.

How many people would say that is not stock. I am sure you get the point.

Aye pat your friend on the back and tell him great job you can beat a v6

Watch out for the duh police.

Doesn't matter, stock for stock the 2010 mustang GT is the quicker car by a good margin.

The 2010 GTs have more HP/TQ than the 2005-2009s. The 05-09 Mustangs had 300hp/320tq. The 2010s had 315hp/325tq. Also, the wheels were an inch wider stock (18 inches), and had 19s as an option. 05-09 models had 17s stock and 18s as an option. The mufflers on the 2010s were also a 1/2 inch bigger as well.

Though it takes a good driver, both the 2005-2009s and the 2010s are capable of mid-13s in stock form.

I am sure this is true, (most) v8 cars can beat a v6 Camaro. I am not debating weather the 2010 Mustang GT can beat a V6 Camaro. If the Camaro beats the Mustang GT stock for stock, it only gives Ford more of a reason to build a better car.

I enjoy the competition between Ford and Chevrolet. I would not own a Ford, but that does not mean I don't respect the owners and the power they bring.

It may not be the fastest it may not be the best, but its my car and I enjoy it.

The new V6 Camaro can beat alot of V8 pony cars but you would have to go pre 2005 for the Ford camp and pre 1993 for the GM camp to do it for certain.

My first time at the track I ran a 14.30 with a stock 2001 mustang gt and still beat a z06 vette. How, he missed a gear along the way, still won. Anything can happen if they can't driv.

There was a bolt on manual 2v at the track with skinnies in front and drag slicks, it ran consistent 14.2-14.3 @ 97ish mph. Lol he was cutting 1.9 60 foot's.

Auto GT does low 14's, Auto V6 Camaro does high 14's.

Manual GT can do high 13's, manual v6 camaro can do mid 14's.
correct!

99 and newer GTs are capable of high 13s with the manual, 96 98 cobras are too. 99 and 01 combras are capable of high/mid 13s as are mach 1s as mentioned, let's not even mention the terminators. I would also not count our the 87 (I think) to 92 L98s, optioned right they have gone very low 14s so they could give a v6 a good run, from a stop an ways. The v6 Camaros are quick for what they are, but giant slayers they are not.
