My 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS

Figured it's time to start my journal now that it's warm! I'm beginning to make modifications to my 2011 Camaro 2SS.

It is my first car, which I learned how to drive on. I'm a junior in high school and develop software for iOS. I've wanted a Camaro since 2010, and I worked hard ever since then to buy one. I purchased the car back in August 2014, used at 52,000 miles. (I didn't get my license until October...I had to watch it sit in the driveway for two months )

Engine: LS3
Transmission: 6-speed manual

Exterior: Victory Red
Interior: Black

Options Installed
RS Package
Sunroof
Silver Stripe
Hurst Short-Throw Shifter

Modifications
Corsa Cat-Back Exhaust System (from Lingenfelter)
Blue footwell lighting
Plasma DRLs
Halo/DRL harness

Planned mods (aesthetic)
Havoc Rear Diffuser
GM High Rise Spoiler
Razzi Side Skirts
Razzi Front Splitter (would rather have GM GFX :/ )
Full-Body Stripe

Planned mods (performance)
CAI
Long Tube Headers
High Flow Cats
Camshaft

Very nice, if I had driven that to my high school it would have been vandalized,

Outstanding, a great ride for your first car (my daughter's are drooling ). My first was a 77 yellow Camaro that I wish I still had, lots of great memories. Have fun with it

Luckily I go to a pretty friendly school, I try not to make enemies...somebody opened their door into my passenger side a few months back, dent is barely noticeable. Ever since then I've been parking right next to the security camera, haven't had any problems since!

Thanks, I certainly will! I'm pretty attached to it already, I don't think I'll ever be getting rid of it!

Looks like me and you were in the same boat! Haha! I saved and finally purchased my 2013 2SS/RS in February of 2013. I watched mine sit for 3 1/2 months before I got my license. 1200 miles when I finally drove it by myself. Beautiful ride!

LED Lighting

First up is some lighting!

I installed the 'Aqua' LED Lighting Kit from AAC, including two footwell light strips, a dome light, and a trunk light.

The footwell lights were wired in parallel from the grey dome light wire under the dash. The lights come on and off with the dome light, simple as that.

You can see the light strips in the pictures, but when you're sitting in your seat, the actual strips aren't visible. They turned out pretty well!

Day/Night Halo/DRL Harness

Next I installed the Halo/DRL harness and a set of 6000K Plasma P13W DRL bulbs from Lite-Right.

The harness keeps the halos and DRLs running at all times, both night and day. It was pretty easy to install, took about 30 minutes and an extra set of hands.

The color of the P13W bulbs match the halos and headlights perfectly. They look much better than the ugly incandescent bulbs.

Very satisfied with both products and the results!

My GM High Rise Wing, Razzi Side Skirts, and Havoc Diffuser have arrived! Waiting on the Razzi front lip and then I will begin installing the body mods!
