Yes the string really helped, when Ofer and I did his car we found out what a pain it was to get the wire back up to where it should be and re-connect the light sensor. On my car the next day it was alot easier.

To all the members that are waiting for there harness, I got all the connectors to make the harness but one, the only one that gm sales me on there harness, But the good news is shipped from the warehouse on Friday to my dealer and if i get it by Wednesday i will pay the extra cast to get it to you all by priority mail to have it on Friday or Saturday delivery.

But for my out of US orders that dos not work, One last thing GM dos not stock a large amount of the harness, The first time i ordered 30 pc and got 18, this last order i had 40 pc on order and am getting only 23pc, and is over a month from the last delivery from there suppler, I have more then i need for all the orders but not too many to spare So after this orders are out it will take up to 60 days to get your HUD harness.

Thanks Ofer.

Thanks Patrick for the update. That's the last piece I'm waiting for. Plan to do the install next Friday.

Great work everyone . I've been following this thread since it started. Ofer, No rush at all but I was wondering how your "photo guide" of the procedure was coming along.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed here and keep up the good work .

Awesome! I'll call Time Warner and tell them I'm going to need some extra bandwidth, lol.

OK, simple question since I' gonna start on Friday. Ofer mentioned a 10 MM (and 7MM) hand screwdriver as a tool needed. It this just a "straight" allen wrench but in the form of a screw driver? I haven't looked at the bolts yet, but that's what I was assuming.

And was it determined that the steering wheel is 37 MM? Nut or bolt?

My bad, no hand driver like a nut driver Or if you don't have that a 1/4 or 3/8 Ratchet and sockets will work it faster with nut drivers but not that much.

Hi if you had the gauges out it not hard, First remove the 2 side parts the long one's next move the seats all the way forward and you will see in the far back on both sides 3 screws remove them and lift that part out of the way, Next get in the back seat and look at the back of the console there are two Philips screws at the bottom of the rear of the console remove them.

Now move the seats back all the way and all that holds it is two screws on the outside at the front of the console, There is a blue connector on the passenger side you need to unconnect and you need to watch how to lift the console around the shifter if you have an A6 car there are two white clips as Walt B. on that one on M6 there is nothing hard.

Hope that helps you some if you need more its coming.
