Wow, a typed message from a companies website says a 15hp gain. Quick go order one right now, it MUST be an incredible piece.
Just by looking at the pics, it looks pretty much IDENTICAL to about 5 or 6 of the other CAI kits out there with the exception of the elbow looking prettier. I gather there will be some sort of shroud to better shield the unit from underhood heat. I'm not knocking the product, just going on my observations. It eliminates the resonator tubes, and has a higher flowing filter element which add up to hp gains. Yippie do-da, so does every other CAI kit, way to join the club (albiet a little late to the party). Some of you new Camaro owners need to realize what a piece of junk the stock inlet tract is. You can put just about anything in there and see significant gains. This CAI kit is nothing special, but it does look very nice, I will give them that. I'd love to see a back-to-back dyno and/or track (prefer track) test between this unit and say...a Vararam or other OTR unit. I already know what would happen though, lol. |
