Why a boss priced z28 may work....
Many people may be getting on the right side of their camaro loans or have their car paid off. For those like myself, the ZL1 is just out of reach when trading in. Camaro fans are starting to look for an upgrade that doesn't exist.
Some turn to modding; others start researching across brands or models. I think a demand exists for a car that fills the large price gap from 30k-55k. For people like me with a V6 (who want more juice, not all do!) the choice is easy...a 2013 2ss perhaps. Those of you already have an SS are left looking. My 2 pennies. |

Certainly a price chasm exists in Coupe-land from the 2SS @ $36ish to the all-conquering ZL1 @ $55ish. No question in my mind there's ample opportunity for The General to sow some seeds in that fertile soil before the Gen-5 vamooses.
Looks like they're lookin' at a 1LE-type package. Will it be an option on the 1SS and/or 2SS? What will it be named? IF they're going to save the icarnic name for something ZEE-worthy, it damn well better be ZEE-worthy... |

In the future the "Special" name could make it more valuable. Otherwise you are correct it is a "Track" version of the SS.

Yes built it with an LS7. Fresh Air Scoop. And Hood Pins please! Just seems its part of the Z/28 DNA. Gotta have it.
Thank you for producing it. Where can I pick it up? |

Then if the Z28 is gonna be $50K+ forgetta bout it.
We need a value-based performance Camaro. The ZL1 is great. And a good value, however it's too much $$,$$$ for most. |

I'm with Oldscool on this. 2015 on the new platform. And, my guess is ZL1 will be in the sunset by then (if not sooner) and the price point of the new Z/28 will indeed by in the current ZL1 range. But, the SS will have gone up some by then as well. The ZL1 beast is not a long term proposition. I don't think GM will carry two HP Camaro's into the new CAFE environment. |

$50K+ is too much!
Could a 1LE be built for $40K? |
