Has anybody used one and will this throw a CEL with headers and a CAI and Catback exahuast? One of my buddies was asking me about it and I didnt know so I thought Id ask you guys...

Its crap and a waste of money. A sensor is a sensor; they don't make power. Although theirs tend to fail more often or not be calibrated as well as GM's.

wow i was considering this too after people told me they felt more power with it but i guess not now

The only mass airflow sensor mod anybody should do is check to make sure you have the better GM one, then replace it with a good GM one if needed.

As has been discussed several times, you can check by looking at the stamped identification number/letters on the sensor body. You want a letter followed by two numbers, of any combination.

And even then, for most people, it won't make much of a difference, unless you have a Vararam, supercharger, or a custom tune.

Other than that, keep it stock!

Not sure what Granatelli did to "calibrate" their MAF's but all the MAF does is measure the air coming into the engine. As long as the stock one is reading properly, there's no need to swap it out. A MAF that guarantees a increase in anything is just changing the resistor values to "trick" the PCM. Ones i've seen in the past have lowered the temp value to make the PCM give more timing. This is a bad thing since it could potentially do harm to your engine.

Exactly. Just like those $10 "performance chips" you see on eBay, they fool the computer to run differently than it should. You may notice a difference, but not worth the risk IMHO.

If your car has no more than exhaust and a cold air you most likely don't need a meter.

I wouldn't mess with it unless you really need to.. Check you sensor just to make sure you don't have a "weak" sensor. I thought that it's a letter followed by a number.. It's a letter by 2 numbers? Because then I have a weak one as mine is just one number
