Anybody knows who would make this for the camaro? Just wondering if it would even be possible like on the R8.

More than just a plate to be cut out. The whole shifter itself has got to be new. Been looking at this a long time myself. I could solidworks up a file for the shift plate, but the shifter handle itself is a bit more involved. A gated shifter on a Camaro would be so suhweeeet!

Its a pain to shift with until you really get used to it. My friends father has a R8 and he let me swap cars with him on the way home from a car show.

And its not just a plate for the shifter. Look at reverse. See the angles that need to be worked in as the shifter leans as it leaves the neutral area?? Unless the plate is really thin it will be a pain.

On some older Lamborghini's they had a reverse lockout mechanism as well. Wonder if this whole setup is possible? Hmmm......

Has anything ever come of this? I would be really interested in buying one if it could be fabbed. As my lack of technical skills and access to any kind of machinery to do this is nil I'm going to have to rely on someone else to get it done.

Has yet to be done, probably because it would involve redoing the shifter as well.
