Made a mistake a drove a...

a friends Challenger RT yesterday and what a difference with the v8.
NO! i am not trading for the Dodge (nice car) but it does have me thinking of the SS now! I even told him i did not want to drive it for those reasons.
Loved the available power right at your right foot! No left foot needed!
I am sure to take a huge hit being that I just bought this in June! Should have held out for the 8. Just didn't think I would really like this car like I do!

I believe all us v6 owners have regretted at some point of time if not all the time that we got the 6 instead of the 8. I do the same thing myself. However, I do like that I only have to fill up every 2 weeks if not longer and that it only costs me $40 to do so. Plus, this is my DD and I traded down from a v8 for the fueling reasons. Well, it was a Yukon not the Camaro. I love my 6 banger and over the 8, but at this point in my life right now I think the 6 is more practical and I just got mine in June as well. I think I'll hold on to her for a bit and maybe upgrade later down the line. As everyone says at some point in here, if you can afford to make the trade go for it!! If you can afford the payments for the SS and really regret not getting one to begin with then go for it. You're money, your choice but don't act too quickly and get stuck. You know?!?!

Yeah, drive the SS. I looked at the Challengers but hated the interior. Nice looking car though. Still nothing looks as tough as the Camaros!

As a Challenger owner, I can tell you the SS will blow the R/T away in terms of speed. I went with the Challenger for the exterior styling... I don't regret it, but at 4100lbs and 370hp, it is nowhere near as fast as an SS.

You wont take a huge hit if you wait until say may or so, I got 1700 less than I paid for my 2010 Camaro LT for trade in, thats not too bad considering i have only had it 10months.

Just shop dealers as far as trade in value, if one gives you a higher price USALLY others will atleast match it...

I actually want to take a V6 for a test drive, no thoughts on getting one, but I just wonder how much different they are to drive compaired to the SS.

My SS is the first sports/pony/muscle car I've ever owned. Hell it's only the third car I've ever owned with an 8 cylinder engine. I wasn't about to miss out and go the cheap route. 2SS/RS manual for me. Get the car that you want, and don't settle for less.
