Finally got a satisfactory coat of paint on these this afternoon, and put the weatherstripping on...I need to decide on some different bolts, I overestimated the length I'd need..
Still, I think these are coming along well enough for a first attempt, and they won't be on often

Finally went and got some bolts and washers, and did a real test fit...haven't painted the new stuff yet, not sure if I'm gonna bother since the is purely a part-time mod

Anyway, fit was pretty good, looked like they'll do their job

Clever setup. What's going to happen if the engine gets wet? Is it save to pressure wash the engine bay?

Haha.sorry guys, been busy moving to a new place...don't really get a monsoon season out here as much as consistent rain. I fabbed these up more so I can put them on easily after parking, rather than running with them on the street. I used a rather thin gauge...22 if I remember right. So, might not be the best for driving with them on at highway speeds. But they should be watertight, will see the next time it gets a bath...probably this weekend.

Wow has it really been a year?! I remember all of us 'patiently' waiting for news of our builds as we searched for and consumed all things 1LE. The late night mod shopping sprees.

This forum is way more active these days and there are some incredible 1LE builds and awesome members!

I will however be forever grateful for you 11/12 guys ( actual and honorary) for supporting and enriching the building/buying experience. As I told the Camaro Team in Indy the enthusiastic community is the real value added to this car.

I finally went to make my headlights all nice and even and level tonight (been putting it off forever since it was "good enough")...got the driver's side perfect, but the damn passenger side (the side that's had ALL the issues)...the damn passenger side adjuster broke as I was cranking it up level to the driver side! Probably because its been opened up at least 3 times and something finally gave...so now my passenger side headlight is essentially pointed at the dirt :(

Yes, I'll fix it, but I'm thinking I'll need a new light housing for this, and that'll take some more money...
