I took the 1st 2SS i could find that had the recall fixed. More into driving it than caring which damn key i have. And ive driven them with both types of key...didnt see a problem either way.

lol@being too tall to hit the key. I'm 6'3" and don't have that problem. But, a mickey mouse solution is not acceptable for a company like GM.

Like I said. Its all circumstantial and highly unlikely to occur. BUT, my knee has smashed into the key/ignition when ive had to slam on the brakes. You know when you get scared, lift your knee faster and higher than normal in order to brake quick?

My size 14s are big enough that I really don't need to lift my right leg, more of a swivel movement lol. The only leg movement is for the clutch action.

I never had to explain that before so I'm laughing while typing

LMFAO. I was laughing while reading "My size 14s". Yeah I feel you. My situation is, I need to not lift my leg when I have to slam on the breaks to avoid an accident. My lowly size 12s will hopefully be good for this swivel technique. I did not mean to digress this thread this bad..

this is still an issue? lol
never going to happen. Either install one out of pocket or deal with it. A petition of 1,000 signatures is nothing

I'm 6'8" and have bumped it twice turning off the engine in 10k of driving. Not going in for the recall but it can happen.

389 signatures in ten months. At this rate we'll be driving the 7th gen before this petition takes off.

I prefer a key that will shut off the engine when I want it to. I do not want to rely on a push button switch that may or may not start or stop the engine........
