According to the newest motor trend there is nothing within $50k of the zl1 that will offer its performance at the track. Closest and Slower would be the cls63 amgblack which is like 115k. I would imagine the reason your only getting that for your lt is you still.have a loan amount. If not find another dealer or sell it outright as its worth more than that. Keep in mind at 44k with a good interest rate your payment will be like.795.

I upgraded from ss to zl1. On my ss i had the suspension from kw, the kw clubsport was very nice, also i has the hotchkis racepack! The ss was realy sporty to drive, an big difference to stock, but it not to comparison with the zl1. The suspension from the zl1 is an dream i love it. And in switzerland we have a lot of curves not a little bit of understeer with the z

I've owned over 20 Camaros since 1976. LTs, Z28s, SS's, and now a ZL1. The ZL1 is the best Camaro I've ever owned.

Some wont pay over list, but I did because I would spend more money wasting my time messing with salesmen than the 2k over, I can make more money just doing other things than bother messing with salesmen. Also I got everything I wanted and gave the salesman a $600 tip on top of that. Now I get anything I want from that dealer.
Also I am not trying to install a NAV head, trade for blk wheels or tying to find a carbon fiber hood.

You can not lose buying a limited production car in most cases. So far they are in high demand. So far the car is a better road race car than a lighter drag race car.
Please tell me that the $600 to the sales man in not so !!!

MSRP. The S is "suggested". It is not charity.
Sunroof $900
CFI. $600
NAVI. $795
5SPW. $470
Certain colors $475 ?
Auto. $1185 PLUS $2600 gas guzzler

And probably some other minor things

I'm torn between my 1LE which I currently bought and the ZL1 which I got approved for and driving it for the weekend.

The ZL1 is used with 10,xxx miles and certified pre-owned, which is a plus so i'm basically buying a brand new ZL1. This car is just a beast, I feel the power. Just feels so damn solid. I'm trying to outweigh the options and ask myself do I REALLY need the 580hp.

I have until tomorrow to decide.

You have a tougher decision than most as you are upgrading from a 1LE instead of an SS. I'm happy with mine though. As long as a mustang is faster I feel like we REALLY need more than 580hp. I am already planning my upgrades for this spring. You can't go wrong with either car though. Good Luck.

If I was you I would take the ZL1. Not to hijack this thread but I'm trying to decide between a ZL1 and a GT500 The reason for thinking of the GT500 is a found a dealer with a brand new one who is willing to sell for $$$$ below MSRP and give me a good price for my car while the chevy dealers around here are demanding full sticker

I can't say I feel any understeer in my ZL1, but what I can tell you is, the ZL1 love's the corners and has very little body roll so I can't feel the weight as much as the SS. The ZL1 feels very solid and gives the me extream confidence in my driving abilities. Power, control, drivability, plus, the ZL1 is just plane SEXY for a muscle car at it's price tag...Period.

The 500 is easy to get, the ZL1 is harder to get.

Yes I was in a new 500 yesterday. Hands down the interior of the 500 is not as nice as the Camaro and the Camaro has the look that sets it apart unlike the 500 it looks like other Mustangs. The 500 look cooler under the hood.
