Nice meeting you too. That car you had is impressive. Look forward to seeing it hook up! Sounded great in the burnout box. Once I am ready to void the warranty, I will be hitting you up for some work/tuning.

I was mainly running in mode 5 and works pretty impressive compared to no controls on. It really limited some wheel spin but no noticeable bog like I though it might do. I think with proper track prep it with work pretty awesome. My times didn't really change from mode 5 to no control but there was more wheel spin with no mode on.

This is the first time in life that I am looking forward to cooler weather! Haha

And though I haven't made it back to the track since, doing some "spirited" driving, I rarely see any knock retard. And it could be just the heat. It was 90+ degrees when I made my runs.
That is interesting. I wonder what the reasoning is. I have tried different stations for fuel and never felt a difference in the butt dyno. Pulling that kind of timing is a killer

Did you see the last 2 runs? I ended up going 10.28 at 138 still with a slow 1.72 60 foot...

I run 110 octane turbo blue in mine, no spark knock at all.

You guys are forgetting that we're now running 10% ethanol in our gas. Couple that with forced induction and your cars are not going to run as they should. Like a few guys have already said...come Fall your car will wake up and turn into a monster. With the IAT's at 85* or below you will run at full timing and no retard. If you live somewhere that still has ethanol free gas then start using it because it wont be around much longer. Those of us in the big cities are already screwed as every station is required to carry up to 10% ethanol. :(

I didn't see that run. I did see a 10.37 run though. I left when something happened down track and they closed the lanes for awhile.

That thing is a monster and I can't wait to see it run with more boost and traction!

Motortrend has two videos on you tube. Both have the ZL1 running 3.8 0-60. One 1/4 mile run is 12.1 and the other one the guy just says high 11's. These were both M6 and they had the traction control off.

I have a station around me selling 110 Octane Racing gas. It HAS LEAD IN IT. Ok, so what will be the impact of using this 100% full tank vs just adding some of it to my NO ETHANOL 93 octane ..say 50/50? Does/will LEADED GAS harm the engine? Thanks!

I believe leaded gas will kill your cats.

I noticed on my car it lays down in second and third gear from high 4K to redline RPM. I was not pleased about this and posted previously about it. Yesterday I went past 800 miles. Under the usual high late day Jersey air temps and humidity the car caught a second leg and pulled much harder in the higher RPM band as one would expect. 94 degrees ambient air temp and 60 percent humidity and it pulled on the big end through 6,000 RPM where it didnt before. Man, I was happy about that. I had it in PTM 5. I have used all the MR and PTM settings previously. Either the PCM has to get used to the tables and learn on the fly, or the car is loosening up and getting to peak levels. Either way, it was a major leap foward in power output.

Don't run leaded gas unless you want to replace 02 sensors very frequently. With 4 of them, that will be very pricey.
