youd think working at a chevy dealership these fools would have already gotten their fair share of driving camaros and vettes around and they wouldn't feel the urge to do these childish things.

thanks for the reminder that they won't be performing work on my car without me present.

ugh. I miss the aftermarket tuning I had on my Z. one of my maps was valet mode and limited the rpms to 3k and mph to 10.

Well this is not a first last month my friend just dropped his 2011 legacy at the dealer to get his clear bra installed, but by the time he got it back it already had an additional 8miles on it. . ..

first, u cant compare a camaro to a supra, completely different cars...

second, i agree they shouldnt be beating on ur car, cus its UR car, but i bet u didnt tell the dealership it started acting up after u did donuts, so u got ur warranty work and ur free gas and fluid changes but i think u over reacted...unless u did tell them and they still did it, they assumed u wouldnt care cus u r harder on it then they were. just my opinion

^not a bad idea. get the tread depth measured. at this point you could say you drive the car like a granny and the tread depth is on them.

Hey guys, I doubt the dealer will throw in tires after the post above stating that the owner power washed the rubber off the underside of the car BEFORE he took it in for service.

Still, way to stick up for your ride. The action taken by that service tech was WAY out of line. Hope he did not get fired, but I sure hope he is relegated to only driving Aveos for the rest of his time in the shop.

It is totally unacceptable for any service department to drive the car like that. I don't care if the owner does beats on his car or not. The point is, it's the owner's car. The shop has no right to beat it.

I would get it in writing that you get free fluid changes for as long as you own the car. If that service manager leaves, then you won't be able to prove that you have such an agreement without having it in writing.

Also, I would call GM and let them know what happened.

I think it's cool that you followed up on this.

I gave the key to the service writer told him my issues and he gave me the keys to the rental and I left. So as I was checking the car out the tech walks out I ask if he had a good time with my car. He said bleeding it was a pain and took awhile but other than that it was alright. I asked him if he test drove it. He said he took it around the parking lot. I asked him if I could borrow his car to do some burnouts with and he looked sick to his stomach. He said he would do anything he could so I wouldnt say anything. I asked him if he had a girl. He said he was married. I asked him if I could hook up with his wife. He laughed and said no. So I walked away and went into service. And told the service writer to go look above my rear tires. All 3 of us went to my car and he looked at the 1/4 and asked what the problem was. The tech told him he did some burnouts with my car before I could open my mouth. He was told to go wait in the service guys office. IDK what happened to him. Hope he was fired. The service guy kept telling me he would give me free oil changes. I asked for all fluid changes he said ok. And that I wanted a full tank when I left. And when I say cars from across the pond I dont mean a camry. I mean a RX8 or S2000 or miata. Those have great reliability. A friend takes his S2000 out drifting with me all the time and hasnt had a problem at all with that car either.
Miata? S2000? I hope your friends are girls!

And bring along a can opener for the S2000. They use the people inside as body bracing because you can't even move in those "cars" (I use that term loosely).

Mine went in for a power steering hose leak and it also dropped considerably in MPG. I'm positive it is just the idle factor.

Glad you busted them on it! Sorry to say I was wrong and good deal on the fluids but if they are gonna put that much money out for fluid changes, I think I would have hit them over the head for tires instead.... These things arent cheap.... Besides they have to have a certain customer satisfaction rating to maintain the dealership.... I think they would definitely worked out a deal on tires...
