Just got off the phone with the service manager. He told me that if i let them repair the spots on the quarter panel it will effect the value of the car because it will be reported on car fax. Now I'm regretting signing for the car even though those spots were noted on the "we owe".

Yes but that would cost him actual $$. Most states have a law that allows someone to cancel a car deal, although most states differ as to the exact terms, some are 30 days I do believe.

Sadly Maryland does not have a 30 day rule or anything like it.
Lucky for me, im in the Navy so we have a whole law department. They have already been informed about the situation. Im trying to let GM fix this but i just dont think they will. I have an appointment with legal on Monday.
I have been a huge Chevy fan and this whole thing has made me re-think that.

Casperadub 70 and Somar13, I hope that you are able to get a new car. The issues have got to be around money or you both would have new cars. Hang in there and see this through. I hope that you both prevail.

I agree... I also have scratches on the splitter and they want to take one off of another 1LE and stick it on ours.

Chevys a good manufacturer, probably the best American one. Its just the dealers and jerk salesmen that are tough to deal with, but you get that everywhere with every dealer. I actually hated the guys that I had to deal with but I got a good deal and the car I wanted. Its just kind of like the CIA, when you do that job you have to deal with seedy and unsavory people. Same thing when you buy a car unfortunately. That's the reason the stereotypes with car salesmen are true.

I agree with you. Chevy is a great manufacturer. Thats why ive always picked them over anyone.
The salesman and a few of the people at this dealership have been great. However Mr Winters (i think he was a rep for them) said its not his problem and he doesnt have to do anything for me, really made me re-think my opinion of Chevy.

I think its funny/sad that ill go to camaro meets or car show and people i have never met will know im the guy with the 2014 camaro with spots.

If it is actually not under the paint use a standard drier sheet and soap and water. If it is on top of the clear it will remove it. Works great for bugs as well.
