Couldnt of said it any better. I told them from the start i just wanted a new camaro with no issues. Actually switching cars will cost me money. Ive already payed 2 car payments, and the money i spent on the graphics and tint that i wont get back. Im just happy to get a camaro with no issues.

P.S. If I were you I would take it to the dealership and let them keep it. I would not drive it any further. Then nothing could happen to it that might complicate things.
Im not sure. I would like to believe the dealership was the reason. I do know they did try to do everything they could. I did contact my legal department on base. Didnt go to far with them as the dealership asked for a chance to make it right. Also contacted BBB. I was in contact with the GM Rep that handles BBB claims. I do think it might of added some presure and let them know that i was serious about this issue.

When the dealership called to let me know they would order a new camaro for me i offered to drop off this one so they could have it. I was told to keep it and enjoy it until the new one arrives

SOMAR13 im not sure why it would cost you to drive it. Did you lease it? Ill be sending you a PM with every step i took. Ill deff be here to help you as much as i can until your issue is solved.

Didn't lease it..haven't even made the first payment yet. He gave some story about mileage fees because it would be like a rental if they got us out of the car and into another

I will take some pics tomorrow and post them. The service manager described the spots as a "brownish purplish discoloration and a rare defect of dirt under the paint."

here is a pic,its the white spots in the center ...I was having a really hard time getting the camera to focus but the white spots in the center of the picture is what is on the roof, rear quarter, left quarter and left front fender above the wheel well. They tried to wet sand them out but that didn't work

I talked to Fbodfather about that. This is what he said.

Corvettes are shipped by truck. The covers keep normal 'stuff' off the car.

Camaros are primarily shipped by rail. During 4th gen production, we tried everything under the sun including a white wrap that actually bonded to the surfaces - and rail dust STILL got under that wrap.

Just a little update....we may be getting another 1LE they are talking about doing a trade out and then just doing a new loan on the car and they said it wouldn't cost us a penny more...except we decided to go with a different color...summit white. The manager we are dealing with at the dealership also suggested we do not go with black "because it's the hardest color to fix." They have one summit white 1LE on the lot and hopefully this will be resolved fully by weeks end if not next week. We were also told that we won't be charged for mileage as long as we do not rack the miles up too high (like close to 1k-2k), thankfully this is a pleasure ride and not our main car. We should have a decision and further update on Thursday.

Hopefully it will work out, trying not to put the cart before the horse at this point. I am like you, I have always only bought GM and Chevy and this is our second Camaro (we just traded our 13 in for the 14) with the same dealership... First experience was awesome, this experience not so much and we haven't been shy to tell them that. My wife has already said she doesn't want to deal with Chevy again but I think if they do the right thing it will make us both happy and faith will be restored. Glad everything is working out for you too, they should make it right especially if they have labeled it as a "manufacturers defect". It is kind of scary to think that there could be many more out there with the same issues.

So what about your mods? Tint/gill inserts?
...
Or you didn't want to press the issue? Maybe Some money from the dealership toward GM accessories

Somar and Casper - I've been following your problems and I'm glad you both stuck to your guns and handled it maturely.
And kudos to the dealers and GM for doing the right thing.
Yea, it would be great if any additional $ you laid out to customize your cars was reimbursed, but overall I think getting new cars is a very good outcome.
Good luck with your replacements!!!!!!
