Thanks guys,

Now if I can get a trailer vendor to respond to my e-mail requests for quotes I'll be sporting a new trailer to complement Brandi...

Here's the one I'm looking at... HARD....

The box is approximately 39 by 42 by 8 feet wide. 4 wheel brakes, 6' long ramps, and the split tail... There are loading lights on the deck, and I'll have a winch mount on it and pre-wired for a 12 volt winch for those days when things don't go perfectly... The driver side fender is removable if needed, but it's only eight inches high, as opposed to the trailer above that has ten inch high fenders.... So, opening the door shouldn't be an issue...

As for color, I'll have the frame/sides and tool box painted a burgundy color, and the deck will be silver... or a light gray... Depends on the vendor and color availability...

I've sent requests for quotes to five vendors and the manufacturer of the trailer... If a vendor doesn't want to sell one, maybe the OEM company will....

I did get a response from a competitor company for a different trailer, but this in the one I'm hoping for...

Texas is trailer country... how long did the open vs. enclosed debate go on in your head?

Are they torsion suspension axles? I've never pulled one, but I hear they work pretty well. I also tie down the tires not the chassis, let the car's suspension take some of the bumps...... I'm too old for that kind of abuse

I priced one from one web site, that has failed to respond so far at 5500-5600 depending on the accessories. I choose a few upgrades...

The open vs closed never occured... I'm not a little guy, and getting into and out the window isn't an option and I can't/won't climb through the trunk.

The other trailer I'm looking at has torsion axles, this one has spring axles. I agree on tying down the tires as seen in the pic of my car on the trailer at the top of this page...... If and when someone contacts me about this, I'm going to see if they can/will install the E-track system so I can tie down the tires...

It's only abuse if you are riding in the vehicle on the trailer which is illegal in most states...

Speaking of which... I may ask for your help... The place that builds this trailer is in Shawnee... When I get back from this lovely place of work, I'll be making a quick trip to get it. If time becomes a crunch, I may ask if you can pick the trailer up in OKC or Shawnee or wherever I manage to order it from and meet me somewhere. I'll happily pay gas, mileage time or whatever... and buy your lunch/dinner or whatever is appropriate for the time we meet...

Ok, just got an e-mail from Corey...

I asked Corey to call the vendor and see if he could get them to respond to me... He talked to one guy, that I originally contacted, and he said he would contact me for details, ... Then he sent corey a message that my e-mail had gotten caught in his SPAM folder... He has it and is putting a quote together right now...

he also stated a three week period to build it custom as I want it right now... So it's looking good...

I'm waiting to see the e-mail when it arrives hopefully here shortly...

Can you imagine the parking lot party if you got this one?

Seriously, I like the silver one you picked out.

That would make for a heck of a Beer-B-Q party... but it would be tough to fit the car on it...

The Silver trailer pictured above is a stock photo from the site... The trailer I'm specíng will be Maroon on the sides, frame and the tool box etc... and the deck will be silver...

It'll also have the notch cut out in the back... I figure that will actually allow for a work access spot if I need to get the car off the ground... Front or rear, drive up on it, stop with the spot I need access to over the notch and go at it...

Here is the color chart I'm basing my decisions off of... Red Fire Pearl metallic, on all surfaces other than the parking deck top... the deck will be silver metallic...

I'm all up to speed on the "greet'n" customs in Texas... My grandfather and my mother are from there so I'm good.

Oh and when I was at Pete's house I caught him looking at cowboy boots online... just sayin...

thats the same amount of time I was told my custom turbo build would take... back in Feb!

I have a feeling a trailer company may have their estimations a little more solidified.

Are the pins in the back holding a door or something similar? I'm assuming the ramps are behind that pin. That's a neat setup
