I went with a kit from agp, it had everything I needed, and you can also pick and choose if you want bigger injectors small or big intercooler ect(all depends on your goals), the only thing it didn't come with was a electric boost controler, and as far as installation the kit was very easy to install.

If your seriously considering the turbo option, then I would start doing some research. You could easily sell your parts, here on C5 and use the money towards the kit. Without turning this into a which is better thread, (preference mainly anyway) feel free to pm me if you have any questions about my setup. Visit my build thread, it will have a bunch of good information for you also.

If you really just want to be around 650 or so and want a fun street car I would go with a heartbeat or whipple. Making that power is pretty easy with either with minimum maintenance. Plus you would keep the aggressive sound profile from you long tube headers and exhaust.
I personally wouldn't go the centrifugal route unless you plan on doing alot of racing. The lower level torque will be missed during normal driving, but it will be easier on the drivetrain. Turbos would be my secondary choice for that power level on a street car mostly just because there seems to be a slightly higher chance of maintenance issues with turbos over pd blowers at this power level. When you go much higher though belt slip and the fixes involved kind of reverse this though and turbos become easier. Turbos are also easier on the engine, but that's a bit irrelevant when the 6l80 is your current weak point and you shouldn't have any issues engine wise with either power adder. That being said, turbos are going to be the easiest and cheapest to grow power wise. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk |

Sounds like my car!!! Turbo options: AGP or Hellion from what I have read on the forum. I know nothing about the Hellion kit, but I love my AGP kit. 1KillerSS, Unreal are great resources. or talk with Kevin at AGP. Other thing to consider is who is doing the work and if you are using a shop what their experience with the different options are. Or you could be like me and drive 1,400 miles one way to have AGP do it!

Mountains are amazing. Drive up clearwater/flathead is fun. Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation building is fun if you are into that kind of thing.

Plus I'm a fan of the cars, just don't currently own one. I also find Camaro owners are a lot more grounded and typically nice than vette owners, and a lot of my best friends own them.

Its all about packaging. If I could do turbos on the vette I would, but the only way it crazy custom kits. There is just no room to do a decent turbo setup that isn't a full race setup. I'm smart enough not to put a bunch of exhaust pipes and hot crap up top. Having a blower and headers already has enough heat issues, and has melted enough stuff. If I could do a kit like AGPs, myself and a vast majority of vette owners would be running that. They all wish they were lucky to have a nice kit like that. Instead they pay $15k+ for custom kits that have drawbacks compared to even a $6500 AGP kit.
