Whats up! I finally bit the bullet today and bought a new 2011 1SS...Damn are the 1 SS's hard to find! I actually went to look at a 2010 SRT-8 Challenger first...(

) After they tried to hose me on my trade in, I made a trip to to the local Chevrolet dealer and walked out with my new Red jewel coat 1SS. Well actually they had to go to Georgia to get it. I'll pick it up tomorrow. They had a black one on the lot, but that red jewel coat is just so f'ing sexy....

This might be mite first Camaro , but i'm not new to the LS scene.. some might know me as djquik88 on LS1tech. I had a Green 1992 Mustang coupe with a couple different LS combos in it....from a LS1/T56 to a L92 headed LQ4 with a powerglide.
I'm currently in the process of building a nice little 68 C-10 Step side with an LS1/4l60 and air ride.
Anyway, look forward to possibly meeting some of you!

Congrats!! And I know what u mean, the 1SS is hard to find. I traded in my '11 LT camaro for my SS 5 weeks ago. Wanted a cyber gray (my LT was this color and I loooved it) but it just wasnt out there. Looked for 2 weeks and the closest one was over 600 miles away but had zero options I wanted. Finally I settled on a Summit White that had everything I wanted and was 3 hrs away. Signed the papers and she was here the next day. Couldnt b happier w my decision!! Still wouldve prefered the cyber grey but oh well..tis life

Welcome and congrats! That C10 is perfectly done! Also, what dealer did they get the Camaro from in GA. I see you are not to far from me and was just wondering. Oh and welcome to the 1SS/non RS club not many of us around

We didn't want leather in Arizona and finding a 1SS in a manual was almost impossible. I could only find 2 in the entire state that I was interested in.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm pretty close to finishing the 68... I hope to have exhaust ran on it this week or next, then start tuning on it. LOL as of right now I'm going to hold on to it... but don't let me get the itch to throw a supercharger or a turbo setup on the Maro....lol j/k

Yeah, I'm not a leather fan at all... and at first i wanted the HID's, but the more I looked at them ,the more I got to thinking less is more...know what I mean?

I bought the car from Farrell Chevrolet in Spartanburg, SC. Where they found it at in GA., I have no idea. I do know that they said it was like 86 miles away though...
