Im a technician for a living and use the snap-on cordless 1/2 inch all day long. I paid like 449 for it and its worth evey penny. You cant beat snap on especially for battery operated tools.

Having just bought a new 1/2 drive Makita Ion drill, I might give them a look see.
This drill is perhaps the nicest most powerful cordless I have ever owned.

I have two Snap-on cordless impacts that are used in a shop environment. They take a beating and keep on working. These are by far the best cordless tools out there in my opinion.

I have a Goodyear racing one. I think it was on sale for 60 or 80 bucks at Pep Boys a couple years back. One of the best tools in my garage - a real timesaver!

Milwaukee gets my vote, because the two 20+ year old drills that have been beat to he!! in my dads machine shop are still around today.

Are you looking for a cordless impact that will take lug nuts off by itself (without manually breaking the bolts first)? I've never used the SnapOn ones, but your typical lug nut is torqued to 90 ft-lbs. If the SnapOn can do this, then by all means, get this. However, you will always need to properly re-torque the lug nuts back on, so you'll end up with manual tools anyways (unless you get one of those color coded torque extensions).

I manually break off and torque down the lug nuts by hand. I then use my trusty 10 y.o. Craftsman 18V cordless to do the rest. Be careful not to drop the nut onto your wheel.
