Ford chose a different path than Chevy and Dodge and is going with smaller displacement supercharged/turbocharged motors while Chevy and Dodge went the old fashioned way and stayed with normally aspirated big cu in motors. I keep hearing nasty rumors that the GT Mustang may even get rid of the V8 instead of a V6, granted the V6 is twin turbo and is 450 hp, not that far of a stretch when you see the 2010 Taurus SHO twin turbo V6 is 365 hp. In my opinion we should be comparing the top model in each cars line for bragging rights that pits the SRT8, SS, and GT500 since all three are factory built. IMO of course

You have to give Camaro some time then, how long was it before your generation mustang had a S/C package offered from the factory? I think they are all great cars, but there are differences between all of that make them individually unique. Mustangs are tough, your mustang is bad, but I don't think they can be compared on equal terms, big block/small block either way. Your car is FI, that changes everything. It is going to be fun competing against each other, and again we should respect all!

Nice 428R

I just picked up a 2008 427R with 0% interest and 4,000 under sticker 2 weeks ago.
If I wouldnt of gotten such a great deal i would still be waiting in line for my SS/RS camaro. I am very anxious to see these camaro's on the street just to see how nice they really are.
I'm planning on paying this one off in 2.5 yrs and hopefully it wont be too late to get me a 2SS/RS Yellow with Black Stripes

Wet Obsession Wax

I friend of mine told me about this wax and it is fantastic.
You can also put layer on top of layer for a deeper wet look.
Goes on like butter and wipes off just as easy with microfiber cloths.
No residue in the cracks. http://www.obsessivedetail.com
For those of you who are getting the Hurst short throw shifter, I really like the Roush short throw shifter with is similar in appearance to the camaro's.
I was looking at the Production numbers for the 2008 Roush vehicles and it turns out they only produced 1 Roush 427R / Manual trans / Vista Blue with Lt. Blue Stripe.

Did you get either the Roush Off Road exhaust, or Extreme exhaust, or the Roush pulley/tune upgrade? Neither one will void your warranty and defiantly will get you some more hp and move you off the 435 base hp.

Roush428R
I purchased it 2 weeks ago. I have the Roush High Performance Exhaust.
Hillbank Motorsports has the one your talking about for 550.00 I think and if your an ROEA member you save 20 % and ROEA members save 10 % on top of that from Roush.

I'm bri69wal on both sites

This reminds me of pinks all out.

Im the person that would rather go full out and if you win you win, because no matter how fast your car is there is always another car just a lil faster.

Agreed, when I signed up here I was just doing some re-con, the bench racing has been kind of fun, every one is cool, we all have different opinions but that is what it's about. You Chevy boys are going to have a blast when these things hit and the aftermarket parts start flying off the shelfs. I'm thinking blowers will be a big hit. I just hope this economy does not screw up the small hp businesses that have kept us hot roders smiling for so many years. Example Crain Cams just went under, been using their stuff since I was 16.
