So GM approved that its just a part failure and not caused by my mods and shipped the motor out to the dealer today!! Thanks to my understanding dealership down here to understand the issue and not screw me making me buy a motor!!!!! Whats crazy is this isnt even the dealer I bought my car from and they are still willing to help out and be reasonable!

Glad to hear that they've got you covered! How many KM's are on your car? And I'm just curious but did you do a hard break in?

I was thinking of getting a set of headers also but didn't want to void the warranty. How long have you ben cel free with the ARH?

KM's? not sure what you mean!

No I did an easy break in and changed the oil at 2000 miles and then at 5000. Ran great with no problems until the valve spring failure.

The headers have been on since around february and no codes so far.

Haha ya sorry miles... the reason I ask about the break in is because you hear people talk about engine failure by driving it hard during break in miles. Just goes to show you when something is destined to occur with the engine it will no matter how it's broken in.

Since feb with the LT's... that's pretty good I'm assuming you were using the extenders? Funny how some get cel's and others don't.

Wondering if this is happening to the L99s as well, maybe I should have Livernois Motorsports do my DOD, AFM delete asap and upgrade the weak points like valve springs as well before this happens.

I think there is a TSB on the L99 Lifters recall. Something with the AFM and the lifters but not sure what.

Still waiting on my car. Got a call from one of the service guys saying gm called them yesterday morning saying they want to replace my intake manifold also just incase debree or something got in it when the valve spring broke. Hopefully its not another week before i get it back!! I miss my car
