I can absolutely guarantee the shifter is not installed on your car. As for how it got pulled with it still being on there , I'm not gonna speculate.

I shifted the gears on the V-6 Camaro at the Atlanta Auto Show. I know it's not the same as doing it while driving, but it didn't seem much different to me than the Hurst shifter I ordered on my 02 Trans Am.
Keep in mind that NONE of us has driven a Camaro with and without the Hurst shifter, so it's all just a bunch of speculation right now as to whether the Hurst should be ordered at all. Just one more reason I am going to wait to order my car. But I am not convinced at this point that the Hurst is something I have to have, but I will be using my car for runs to work and back, not for runs at the dragstrip. And the automatic will probabaly be faster in the 1/4 mile anyhow. |

Hurst Shifter
Hello all;
I test drove the SS/RS Camaro with the Hurst Shifter. I was a little surprised how short the shift was. It was really very clean and smooth and went snip snip right into gear. It was so swift short and smooth you could virtually shift with a flick of the wrist. It would probably be good for racing but I like a little more rowing through the gears, that's the fun and pleasure of a stick. If you want/need that millie second faster shift go with the automatic for more money and less fun. |

My stock shifter sucked ass. I switched it out to the MGW shifter for more precise shifts. Yes it also shifts shorter but i like that. Also no more ify notchy shifting. It's all gone now
