Just curious, how do you know this? Any sort of proof/evidence/numbers to back this up? Define "LARGE" please.

So what't a guy to do? Order a V8 just to get one sooner?????

My dealer says GM is not accepting "STOCK" orders yet... Only sold orders, He has 8 sold orders out of a allocation of 13, and will be getting 3 cars out of the dealer build cars that do not count on his allocation. I bet those 3 cars are what you mean by "Stock" orders.

only if you have an order for a V6 in already and you are about to come up on the list to be pulled for production...you could change your order and get it faster... If you want to spend about $7K more... I will wait myself...

I wouldn't be spending that much if I just got the 1SS because the 2LT RS with IO interior and polished wheels is about the same cost as a 1SS but of course I would have to drop the RS package and the interior trim and polished wheels to get down that low.

So when the heck will they start making v6's. i mean come on you done delayed it a month from feb to march now constraint v6's come on gm. yall better try better or your going to lose alot of business cuz you already have people jumping ship for the challenger.

TODAY, ORDERS CONTINUE BEING TAGGED AND RELEASED for production consideration
…estimate build weeks of orders released today are 3/30-4/05

So is there a certain order status code that coincides with the tagged and released process?

I was just going if you wanted a SS with the same as you had ordered on a 2RS....

My dealer principal just spoke to me about the estimated time when I get my car.

Chevy Sales rep was in yesterday - Dealer principal asked about my 2SS/RS - said all dealers will get their one V6 built first, before any pre-ordered "sold" cars would be built for that dealer.

Our dealer MUZI CHEVROLET is not getting our V6 until MAY!! so the rep said that my car probably won't get here until JULY!

This is not specultion per the rep - it's the fact...

This Blows - I want this car, but then I think I should maybe get something else. I don't know what to do...

Pretty much anything 2000 and above.

I would wait... unless you NEED a car before then... remember good things come to those that wait.. plus if they make any running changes, our later cars will have them and we will still get it for the same price...
