Does anyone know if there is a fairly easy access area to get wiring from the
engine bay to inside the cab?

Yep. There is a hole above the battery cable that you can pass wires though. It has a plastic cover on it, but it's easily popped off.

Agreed, the hole goes from the bay to above foot petals on the left, I used it for my halos.

There is also one on the passenger side next to the in cabin air filter.
