To GM: What I would like in the new ZL1

1. The Z06 (LT4) engine. They put it in the CTS-V, now I want mine.
2. The transmission in the rear. The car needs more weight in the rear and I don't need the rear seat anyway.
3. Less weight....minus 600-700 lbs should do it.
4. A downward sloping hood (like the 4th gens) so I can see the road instead of the hood.

That's it.....GM, if you build it, I'll buy it.

Tranny in the rear? I am assuming you mean with the engine? The ZL1 is almost perfectly balanced now, why change it?

Give about 60hp and a little diet and it would be just fine.

Like the Z06, with a transaxel drive.

Tranny in the rear....more weight.....I need more traction.
I short shift first gear all the time because 1st+throttle = wheelspin.
AWD would be awesome, so I could have a ZL1 GTR, but I know that would take GM another 800lbs.

ZL1s would be soooooo fast if they had traction.

It took GM 40 years to bring back the ZL1........

What makes you think the ZL1 will come back with the 6thGen?

LT4 would be a likely candidate but I would guess not before GM brings out another ZR1 Corvette with a new engine. I doubt the Top Corvette and Top Camaro will have the same engine at the same time, especially in the beginning of the gen 6.

The Camaro will not have a transaxle like the Corvette.
(Just buy a Corvette if you don't want a back seat and want a more balanced car. Corvettes are nice cars and fast and they are Chevrolet and can be had for not much more than the current ZL1)...

The C7 Corvette gained a lot of weight over the C6. I doubt the Gen 6 Camaro will loose any weight at all over the Gen 5. (Most cars are getting heavier rather then lighter) Most of the speculation about weight lose has been on this forum. (Some of the same people who argued that GM would never make a ZL1 Camaro in the first place. They were very wrong).

Visiblity could be improved but not at the expense of making an ugly car.

IMO, GM could change the game forever if they made an AWD Camaro. It is 2015 and who says "muscle cars" have to be RWD anymore? Even with only 600hp and more weight, it could make the Hellcat look silly. Imagine 2-305 and 2-285 summer performance tires putting 600hp to the ground while the Hellcat struggles to put 700hp to the ground through 2-275 all seasons...
