I know, it's hard to have all the answers right now without it being out yet but I do appreciate hearing the opinions of the suspensions guys.
New front and rear struts to get the new damping would be a must.

I am guessing the FE4 bar will use the same d-bush mounts to the sub-frame, but the lower arms are new. My GUESS is you would have to buy the new arms, new bars and new endlinks. We'll end the guessing when we get our hands on the first one.

Perhaps #3 can step in with an insider view, if the information has been declassified

Thanks again. Sheesh... starting to sound a bit pricey. What would be your best guess on cost of doing this? If were' talking under $2,000 I'll probably do it but if this is going to be $5,000+ I think I'll look into aftermarket stuff.

ZL1... too much money, would be awesome though. This is also my daily driver. Like a dumbass I should have looked into this more before buying. Oh well... love the car regardless and got a decent deal on a loaded SS.

I'll just have to be patient and wait and see. Any guess on $ anyone? Without buying a 2012 or ZLI

Would you mind clarifying this statement, please.

aftermarket will still be better as far as track handling. you have to get rid of all those soft oem bushings

I'm just saying I should have taken a closer look into what was different for the 2012 model SS. Word is the new FE4 suspension will be stock on the SS (heard it wasn't going on the convertible though...???).

I like my gauges and steering wheel just fine, the only thing I really want from the 12's is the new suspension.

Bump-

Does anyone know if any of the new parts in the FE4 suspension will affect the ride height at all?
Wouldn't it be nice if it sat 1" lower?

Nope. It may be a 1 or 2mm lower, but there are 25mm in an inch.

If ZL1 is only lowered 7mm I really doubt SS will be much lower, if anything. I don't know for sure, though, honestly...

So glad I ordered a 2012. I'm very interested to see what the 12 pulls on the skid pad now.

If it sits lower, that would require GM to redo the crash test ratings for the car, and I don't see them doing that.
