I can't find anything... lol, I just came in to see if anyone posted maybe where the numbers would be, I probably just missed them or something, Unless I'd have to take something off to see. =/
-Edit- I tried lifting the front end of the car a bit, and looking next to the oil filter, but it's really low and hard for me to get down there enough to see really...

My dads 78 corvette has it on the passenger side below head, on block, the front side of engine. But considering we do not know what this is, Good luck.

Idk, I gave up on looking for it lol.
I called my cousin/Grandpa, Since they both know a bit about cars, and they said that it's just the tuning in the carb, they said that the Throttle is probably to low, and it was just set to rev in Park, but he didn't try it in Drive, and when you shift a car from Park to drive, you loose like 200 RPM and that can be enough to take a Barely Idling car in Park, to stall in Drive, because you're not getting enough fuel when it shifts, Which is why, you have to rev it up, than shift it into drive to move.

No, I've had another guy doing everything and walking me through it, but he wasn't here, but, It's all tuned and good to go. =D
It was the Distributor, a couple of the Magnetic Pull-ups or whatever wasn't working so not all 8 Cylinders were firing till you hit a high RPM.

Thank you. =D
It's running pretty well now, I think All I have left to do before I've sucked as much power out of this 350 as I can is to Change the Gear to 373 or 411 and put on new exhaust (I don't really know about the gears and stuff, but I'm going with 3" Exhaust and Flowmasters) It's estimated at 300-350 HP (From what the guy doing all the work said he'd guess) and he said It'd do the 1/4 Mile after the new gears and Exhaust in about 12-14 seconds. But like I said, I don't know much about cars, I'm just soaking up as much Knowledge as I can. =P

If it's going to be your daily driver, then don't touch the gears until AFTER you put in a manual (which is no easy task either, by the way). With a TH350 and 3.73's, expect around 4300-4500 rpm around 75mph or so. 4.11's even higher. Considering you don't know the internals of the block, I would be very hesitant to take it to that high of an rpm without knowing your redline. Most typical 350's have a redline around 5500-6000. For some reason, mine is close to 7500. Will I ever take it there? Hell no. Now, that 300-350 hp will most likely be at the crank. Figuring in the typical 22-25% power loss through the drive train, expect around 225 to the wheels. 12-14 second quarter in a straight up 350/350 combo is a little much imo. Especially if it's a mild 350. That's assuming, of course, but still high hopes for a 350. Especially if it still has full weight. It can be done, but it generally costs a boatload to get the 350 to that level. Is it a posi rear? When it comes to exhaust, sometimes wider does not = better. It'll sound mean as hell, but it *might* give you a slight power loss. Just some food for thought. Ask many, MANY people the same questions, then form your own opinion about it. It's your car, do it the way you want, but research always helps in getting it there. |

None of that was Recommended by me, I'm just going by what I was told. Haha, The guy working on my Cars has been working on Camaro's for a long time, he's in love with them, He has one right now that he says he pulls about 500 hp at the wheels, and runs low to mid 10's.
He's the one that swapped the Manifold and Carb, and was telling me with the gears I have in there right now, It will be a Daily Driver only, If I put in 373's than it will be a Daily driver that I can have fun in, and if I go 411 that It won't be a daily driver it will be just for fun. So that's why I chose the 373. With the exhaust right now it has 2", and Him and everyone else was telling me that with the exhaust I have now the car can't breath, and everyone recommended 3" and Flowmasters. Also *This is just his word, and so far he's proven everything else to me correct* He's raced a mostly stock 350 Car against a 454 with Thousands of dollars into the car, and ran mid 11's where the other guy ran high 12's just because of correct tuning and gears. But, like I said, That's just his word, Me him, my GF, my GF's dad are all going down to the strip sometime in the next couple months when they have the Midnight Drags, and he's bringing his Camaro out there, so well see. Oh yeah, and everyone's saying that I need a new Torque Converter with the cam I have because the stock is to low (They all recommend 2,000-2,200) so, that's the latest news lol. -Edit- Also Chevy2TehBone, Trust me, if I could, I'd let you look at the car in person and tell me what you thought about it too, but I have limited money and I'm just trying to make do with what I have, so going by everyone else s word is all I really have. They asked what I wanted, I told them, and that's what they did. =P (I wanted a Daily driver that sounds nice and will throw you into your seat if you try, and I can run to the track for fun every once and a while, Nothing to fancy just something I can have fun in.)

Great looking Camaro Brandon, try adjusting the idle mixture srewss on the carb first. See if you can improve the idle, and check your timing as well, sounds like it may need alittle more advance. Are there any leaks, if a carb is sucking air thru a vac leak that will mess with your idle and off-idle performance. Thats a great looking 73, the Z28 (NT90) wheels are getting harder and harder to find! So, hang on to those! Heres a pic of my 72 Z28, youve got a great first car.

What's the difference in the Z28 and the Not Z28?
Because yours looks exactly like mine. (But of course WAY cleaner and probably runs WAY better lol) But the only Difference I see in yours and mine body wise is you have a ground effect kit, a Cal induction hood, and a Z28 Tag. Does it have like a 454 or something in it instead of a 350?
