When I use your numbers,for the Automatic formula w/28" tires.
I find 6671RPM at 140mph.

So the only drawback from upgrading to 3.91 are probably the higher RPMS at cruising speed. As long as this doesn't put any additional stress on technical components it's fine for me. I dont care about my mpg...
I had 4.10's in my 600 rwhp L99 and it was awesome on the road. Big mistake on the track. On the highway it was maybe 23/2400 rpms at 75 I don't recall exactly. It was long ago. But I know it was very doable. But when you went to pass all you needed was a tap of the gas and it took off!!

Yup. Exactly. Your calc is spot on.

But know I'm trapping 143-145. Hopefully it'll stay in 4th. We can go up to 7k and be ok.

no i'm stock cam... planning on running ET Streets though, and just getting the gear and pinion setup... and will later spray the car, but not until 2nd gear, lmao
