Small...yes....awful small, i disagree. I should easily get to 800rwhp with this motor and about 10-12 psi boost. We will see I guess? Procharger says the same thing. the D1 is not optimum for this big breathing motor but says it should provide up to 12 psi. My calcs at 12 psi put my north of 850rwhp. Just really depends on the NA power of this motor.

Its not a drag car. Just a nice street car that will see a 2.5 mile road course a few times a year at track days.

Great to see it is finally done. Know it has been a long time waiting for you.
OT it's beenawhile here since last conversation but the coworker's son(think you had him for training event T38 maybe?) soloed the Viper at Luke last month.

Nice! I remember our correspondence via PM. I remember you told me his last name and i went and looked up my gradesheets i wrote on him. I do remember the couple instrument simulators i gave him i commented he was above average.....makes sense since he's sitting there in his Viper. Now that he has solo'd it gets real difficult, real quick. He will go right into offensive BFM, then defensive BFM then Hi aspect BFM..He will also most likely fly a DBFM (dissimilar) against either a Hornet or Eagle. Then the intercept phase, ACM and ACT phase. After that....in about 3 months he will start the air to ground phase which is a piece of cake!

I was an IP in the 61st Fighter Squadron (Top Dogs) from '97-2000.

Tell him Bull says good luck! He should remember me!

Oh, and tell him to not get below "over the top" airspeed vs a Hornet if he fights one. Our FLCS is a huge disadvantage once you get below corner velocity. The hornet's strategy vs a Viper is to try to get him slow. Once that happens, its over!!!!

The blower will make 800 but to get 850 a lot of variables have to be considered.

Yea, Erik just called me. He is pretty meticulous with his motors and the little details. He ran into some clearance issues with the Mast LS7 head and the 3/8 in push rods on one of the cylinders. He has been machining the head to make sure all is good. He just finished up the head tonight and we plan on meeting at SNLPerformance in Ft Worth tomorrow afternoon.

I dropped my car off there Monday along with a bunch of other goodies. I will be spending alot of time down there. They put me to work when i show up!

Yea, i know what you mean. Im an M6 and that helps but also run a 9" rear with big 35spline S-trac. That should rob a little. I also am not sure what my wheel/tire combo will do. My setup is 2.3" shorter than OEM and my final gear ratio works out to about 3.82 : 1

I was at 715rwhp on the LS3, so really anything over 750whp to 800whp will be more than fun. It all comes down to the motor and how much boost i can squeeze out of the D1SC

Don't worry about justifying you're setup to these guys, Bull. You're setup is going to be awesome! Especially with what your goal and target are.

I definitely see this putting down right around 850 at the wheels, and I'm hoping for more for you. Can't wait to see the dyno sheet on this monster, and you're AFR across the power band.

What kind of dyno is this being tuned on?

Good luck!

Thanks, I appreciate all the inputs here. Not trying to justify my setup at all. The only reason im using the D1 is because i already have it. It only has about 6000 miles on it. If this was a drag car i would be adding the F1X. The D1 should be pretty good for the occasional track day at Eagles Canyon raceway.

Built this car a kind of a "jack of all trades" Hang with or beat the Z06s on the raceway and run mid 10s on the 1320'.

The dyno will be a Dynocom. Its pretty stingy. when we did the baseline on my stock LS3 with only cat back and CAI it pulled 358rwhp. And after adding pretty aggressive cam, LT headers and tune it was 440rwhp. So, its not as stingy as a mustang nor as generous as a Dynojet.

Not really concerned with the numbers but its the only thing i have to gauge the build. My tuner (one of the best) anticipates about 850 or even higher.

Man sounds so sweet. I bet the suspense is getting at you.

From a army FO to a zoomie, what's your time on target? Do you need a walk on?
Hope you had a nice veterans day.
