New Pinch-Point???
While photographing my rub marks for my recent GM/BBB claim, I noticed something equally as disturbing...
Particularily on the driver side, near the rear quarter "sail" (about 2" above the fender and 4" behind the side window) was a mark that appears to be being "pushed outward" from inside the top. It was pertruding about 1-2mm and you can see the damage to the fabric in the closer pictures. I couldn't feel anything causing enough pressure to have this effect while the top was up... not sure of the cause of this, but definitely concerning... If this is caused from the inside, and my fabric on the outside is this bad, I can only imagine what the inside looks like...

Interesting - so far, mine has been the standard driver/passenger side "V" marks. On one of the close up pics, that area almost looks like it's got some mold growing on it.

Sorry to hear about this Drago. I have a unique rub mark of my own that I have no idea how it formed. mine is just left of center in between the bow1 and 2. I haven't bothered worrying about it as I have never seen another post on one like it. And now that mine is developing the common rub marks that everyone else has already had, I'm not spending a lot of time loosing sleep over it.
I hope this is an oddity more than a likely problem. Good luck and keep us posted.

Don't think its mold, maybe just the light/angle? I definitely didn't notice any in person. I was surprised to see the "lighter" areas by the folds, look like dried water stains... not sure why that looks like that- I'm rediculiusly meticulous about the car, its never out in the rain, let alone top down when wet. However, I normally keep it garaged during the week with the top up. This particular week, prior to the pix, I had it down all week while it sat as I was doing some interior work... wondering if the "washed out" marks are cuz of that? Got a show this weekend, it'll be washed/waxed, better able to gauge the marks then

Sorry to see the new marks, Kev. I hope they come out when you wash the top.

Thanks bud... but it's not the "stains" that im worried about, its the purtrdibg "dimple" damaging the fabric that concerns me...im sure the rest will wash out.
