My OBX was $350. shipped to the hosue. I did by the O2 extenders. Another $50. So I am at $400. Now add in the $300 for the HFC's and I would be at $700. This is still $200 cheaper.

The OBX are 304 stainless and the upgrade BBK's are too, but it will cost the other $200 to get there.
Looking at reviews on different threads, people will take bkk over obx any day of the weak. The bbk is the name, and is a top brand choice. I don't know personally, but if you don't want cats, obx all day

Obx on mine and love them sounds great and the smell isn't that bad at start up. I think personal I would add cats later but for the money they are the way to go like stated before the quality is okay and preformance is about the same on all long tube headers best of all the price.

I want cats on mine. I just feel I need to keep it totally street legal even though Indiana doesn't have an inspection law now as they once did, I don't want to be scrambling trying to get into compliance if one comes into play again or I relocate after I retire. I'd rather measure twice and cut once. That being said, I'd like to keep the cats in place or replacement cats to go with the setup. If a deal ever comes into play which would include this package for a great price, I'd be all over it. This being said, I'm going to send this $300 to OrthoIndy for my knee surgery that was performed on 11/28. I feel blessed that my $8,144.00 service is costing me $300 and I have it in the bank to send. ;-) Now I'll await my physical therapy bill and maybe the anesthesia. I'm living proof that one can go under propofol ( under the right conditions and settings ) and survive. Man that's some good stuff as long as Dr. CONrad Murry is not dispensing it.

Back on topic though, if a special comes around with headers and cats, someone shoot me a PM, please. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and remember Jesus is the reason for the season. Be blessed and last man turn off the light in this room on the way out. Peace!

obx is really not that cheap if you think about it.. add some high flows and you are almost there with the bbk or even stainless depending what brand high flow's you go with. If the cats are not important then obx seem like a very good choice. Been running mine since day one and it's still going strong. The only rant I have with the obx are it's rear slip fit connection. No matter how much I tighten the band clamp, I can't seem to get rid of a small leak. It's not too bad but I don't really like the fact that it's there. Some obx owners seem to have this same problem and some seem fine.

If you look further down they have a coupon code for an additional $50 off of BBK headers. But yes, that is mild steel as opposed to stainless.

Now if we could do OBX with cats for lets say, $700-750, that might be worth doing. Any more than that and I'd probably just go BBK which I know the results of. I'm definitely going to stay tuned to this.

Hey, that's a good find. I always forget about eBay.. Pypes is a pretty reputable brand right?

I also found these. Should work since I already have a 2.5'' sytem and less than $200 for the pair.

Or these for $250

If these cats would work, add me! Has anyone tried them and had them work?

How about a group buy with BBK? When you get cats with the obx your right up in the bbk price range anyway. Not sure if I like the sound fron the obx. Is it because they are cat-less or what?
