Fuse Pull VS Leaving it in Track Mode

So I've scoured the Forum and couldn't find a definitive answer about this "magical" fuse pull. So, if your Camaro is equipped with the NPP exhaust system, what is the difference between leaving it in track mode and pulling the fuse?

I have had the fuse pulled since day 1. On the interstate in v4 mode you can't even hear the car.

If you leave it in track mode your steering stays tightened up in track mode. I just go into the engine sound management settings on the screen and set the default to track mode so that when I am in touring or sport the exhaust stays the same (on the loudest setting).

To build off on that, I do the same....exhaust and suspension in Track while steering in Sport.

Additionally I found that the transmission/gas pedal behaves more to my liking in Track mode. So after starting up the car, I switch to Track mode anyway. All the other settings stay in the defaults I selected.

I wish there was a way to have it start in Track altogether.

Amen. I look like a button pushing fool everytime I start my car. double tap to get in track mode and double tap to turn traction control off.

I got the Vitesse Throttle Controller to get the better throttle response and just leave the exhaust in track and the driving mode in either tour or sport so the steering isn't so tight when I'm driving around the city making contract turns ect.

I pulled the fuse on my SS several months ago and set the exhaust to track mode in the settings and usually drive around in Sport mode most all the time. If you switch to track mode the exhaust sounds deeper with the way I set mine. One problem I see with the exhaust open is that the outer pipes get black quicker and the inner pipes stay cleaner. I don't have OCD so it doesn't bother me at all.

Like Glen stated, the valves close at cruise and also low throttle inputs. Like leaving from a stoplight easily. Pull your fuse and drive for a few days, then put it back in. You will notice the difference. Also put the backseat down, makes the differences that much more noticeable.

I set mine on "track" in the engine settings as well, it sounds loud all the time. To me it doesn't sound like it closes at all but I could be wrong.

I can't tell any difference with the fuse in or out. I have taken out and put it back in a couple of times. I always leavery the engine sound in track mode and change the rest with the button. I never turn it to stealth, but I like having that option at my fingertips.

I turn into a button pushing fool at times too, but it's fun.

You are both M6 cars I take it. The A8 cars are much more noticeable.
