can you ask for diameters? seems that is a most important thing from what I have read here. 2.25" vs 2.5" vs 3". all 3 some from Chevy stock depending on year and options.!

How much are they asking? If there's no markings it could be a cheap eBay knockoff of a higher priced brand. Careful you don't overpay.

why not ask HIM (seller) what brand it is. At least, have him send a picture of the other side of that box he mutilated.

There should also be some install instructions. Usually those will have the manufacturer's logo or info on them.

Offer him $200.
If he sells it to you for $300, might be a deal.

I had researched TONS of Cat backs for this car over the last year.
Look closely at that one flanged part...where exactly is that going to bolt up? When stock, our exhausts do not use any of those type of flanges. The kits usually are designed to bolt up to aftermarket headers which use a flange connection. This looks identical to the Manzo/OBX and other cheaper generic (usually non-branded) Ebay exhausts that can be had for between $300-600. I know the OBX version is like $550 for this exact exhaust. It's a polished stainless steel, 3 inch exhaust with chambered mufflers and 4 inch tips. They all tend to get decent write ups for quality and sound, usually a little less for fitment, especially due to that part of the pipe that fits to the header or cats. Sound tend to be a bit on the quieter side, even with long tubes. The dead giveaway on these sets is always the ovaled mufflers and the flanged fitting for the cat connection pipe (which usually needs to be cut off), but the OBX does not have that flange. Bottom line is that there is no way someone paid over $1000 for this unless they have some sort of mild brain damage. You can get a very good, high quality NAME BRAND exhaust for that price. If you can get it for $300 or less I would say go for it. But those flanges are going to be useless. Most people that install these have to have some modifications done for proper fitment. The OBX setup is the only one that will bolt right on to stock. I am thinking what you have here is a Manzo catback or one of its generic equivalents. http://www.manzousa.com/index.php/ch...st-system.html http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Stainles...wCP8nw&vxp=mtr https://www.amazon.com/Performance-S...xhaust+catback

Scam Scam Scam Scam.
Ask yourself this "have you ever paid $1,000 for something and not known the brand of it?" Run away and do not give them a dime. |
