Chevrolet version of the Encore is the Trax. It's sold in Mexico/Canada.

How much is it downsizing? We like our Saturn Vue but hate the gas mileage.

I don't know for sure, but the Theta-II platform is dying. Equinox/Terrain are moving to a modified D2XX, which is the next-gen Cruze platform that we really don't know much about.
I'd look at Escape, RAV4, and CR-V and go from there for size comparisons.

Equinox definitely won't be downsizing to Buick Encore size, but more like a tad smaller than the current one. The current 4 banger is already rated at 32 highway which I feel is pretty good.
I'd suspect the V6 option will be dropped, and the NA 4 and turbo 4 will be the options. As for that Trailblazer, I see no reason for it either, and if they bring it to the U.S. theres no way it can look like that.

Oh, definitely not Encore size. That's on Global Gamma and that is super small.
Although they're selling better than anyone expected. GM's having problems meeting demand for Encore.

So Fenwick. Do you know how GM parts licensing works. We all know the story about the Sparks SS badges.....but how do folks like Eagle Eyes make cheap headlights and tail lights for both new and older cars.
I'm also thinking in terms of all the Classic Industries stuff, Auto Metal Direct ect ect.....fenders, hoods, grilles for anything and everything. Is there a 10 year old rule or something....does GM assist them to get out of the picture once OEM stock runs out? I just bought some tail lights off ebay for my '97 truck...they turned out to be Eagle Eyes with circuit boards and bulbs for less than $50 total to my door. They compare quite favorably to OEM
