JDP Motorsports 2011 1SS/RS LS3 "Silver Shark" Build!

Hi Everyone!!!

JDP Motorsports is excited to start the build on our 2011 1SS/RS LS3 Camaro! We have a lot of exciting things planned for the build up of this beast and we'll do a few different configurations through out the process. The plan is to build a road race/open road race/standing mile car that has great street manners. Horsepower is always very important but we aren't going to forget about the most important aspect of HP and torque, putting it to the ground!

The first order of business is to get this thing breathing better! Less than 12 hours after bring the Camaro to the shop was the installation of an Airaid 250-243 CAI system. With less than 100 miles on the clock an immediate performance difference was felt!

Before

After

We then installed a Hurst shifter to give us a more positive shift engagement feel. I like the look and feel of this shifter and we will also try a few other brands so we can give a good evaluation after using multiple set ups.

Today we're installing a Magnaflow 16483 which is the 3" Comp Series cat-back system. We choose this system because of our eventual horsepower and toque goals of 700-800 RWHP and RWTQ.

Our goal with this project is to assemble packages that have real world testing and work in conjunction with each other. This will be a very exciting build and please feel free to ask questions and make suggestions at any time, we want this to be an interactive build! You can also follow this on our JDP Motorsport Facebook page and the JDP website when it is launched at the end of this month. If you become a fan of JDP on Facebook you'll be eligible for monthly give-a-ways and specials no one else gets!

Please feel free to call, email or PM us anytime with questions! Have a good one!

Kind regards,

Jordan Priestley

Thanks everyone! This will be an exciting build!!

I got the Magnaflow 16483 3" Comp Series Cat-Back installed and it already sounds a lot better. I'll give it about 1000 miles before I record some sound files and then we'll be installing some Long Tube Headers!

Stock System (Those cans are ugly!)

Stock H-Pipe

Magnaflow 16483

Magnaflow Tru-X Crossover

I noticed more throttle response and it pulls harder from 3K RPM up. I've installed the 16483 quite a few times and this is my favorite Magnaflow system for our cars. Our Camaro currently has 1100 miles on it so at 2100 miles we'll be doing some sound clips.

The next planned mod is going to be Long Tube Headers with converters along with some suspension work, oh and we'll be installing a catch can as well. Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions! Have a good one and I'll update soon and often!

Kind regards,

Jordan Priestley

Mike,

This should be pretty exciting and we'll be trying various combination's to find the best overall packages which we will then offer. I'm glad you're enjoying your 16483, I LOVE that system!!!! I will more than likely be giving the MGW a try here in the near future, how are you liking it?!?!

Thanks!!!! We appreciate your business and support!!! We'll keep the updates flowing, the next install will be the Elite Engineering catch can which I know you've had a part in dialing in!!! I'm really looking forward to it!!

NICE!!!!! I'm looking forward to doing our LT's shortly along with our Cam and intake manifold!!! The combination you're running is my favorite and will probably be the same route we end up going as well.

The next mod will be our Elite Engineering catch can, this is a MUST have!!!! I don't care if you're 100% stock or making 800 RWHP, everyone needs one!!!! I'll post a write up along with pictures next week! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Kind regards,

I installed an Elite Engineering catch-can a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier!!! This is a MUST for any LS engine IMHO!! The Elite can is extremely nice and the install is very straight forward!

I'll add pictures with my line routing as well!!! This is a worth while investment and we have them in stock at great prices! The next install will be Pfadt Sub-frame mounts!!!

Kind regards,
