Uh Oh! Blowing smoke. please help.

Well boys, I've done it again. First time getting on it after installing my new Driveshaft and it pulled like a rocket ship @ 15lbs. Second time from a 60 roll it threw all the stabilitrac lights and started smoking seconds later. About a minute later it was a freight train. It looked to be moslty white smoke but it was night. It definitely wreaked of oil. It ran like garbage. Struggling to cruise in higher gears. One parked I checked the oil fill cap and there was obvious air pressure coming out in puffs. This morning there was a lot of oil on the ground under the passenger side. Now it looked like the rear main seal was leaking before. And now theres oil behind the intake mani around the trans housing. I do have forged internals, zl1 headgasket and arp studs. Only 1000 miles on this build. There is no oil in the charge piping. And tomorrow I will check the plugs, pcv, and compression. I'm hoping its not the H.G. or anything internal. But I have a feeling its the h.g. or a seal blown. Also when it went the boost had spiked to 20 psi. Not the first time that happened.

ringlands??? Can happen even if forged if it went lean ....been there done that at 11 psi but not forged at the time. When my #5 ringlands went i also had leakage from the rear seal and tell tale puffs thru the oil fill port. Take out your plugs and see which cylinder.

What is your fuel system?

Here are my threads on the subject...good luck

Forged internals are more forgiving. How forgiving maybe minutes longer or seconds lol.

Sorry to say but forged doesn't really help unless the fuel and tune are in check.

What fuel system are you running? Sounds like you ran out of fuel and burned a piston.

Number 7 has no compression. It blew out a valve cover gasket on the passenger side. I didn't check them all for compression. A couple cylinders seemed low but I dont trust the gauge to be the best. I have a zl1 fuel pump and 62? Lb injectors. The plugs looked good. maybe a bit of oil on a couple. It was suggested maybe I broke a valvespring.

Also the smoke may have been primarily from the oil spilling onto the exhaust.

Man you have a forged motor with 15lbs of boost and your fuel mod consist of only 62lb injectors, and a zl1 pump, I hope I'm just reading that wrong. You had to have run out of fuel, sucks you did all that work and this happened, but your fuel system has to be addressed when you get this fixed.

Again sorry about your luck, but you and your tuner should of realized this wasn't enough in the fuel department to support your build.

I just remembered your old thread - you have a turbo, and were having issues. in that thread you were pretty much told you would lose your engine if you continued to run that boost with that fuel system. not too mention, I have the same turbo system and have been told (and read) that anything over 8lbs or so causes wayyyyyy too much back pressure due to the downtube size. you are at 15...not only that, I ran out of injector at my hp and went to 85lb (which fixed my misfire)...you have a couple things that could have caused you to lose your engine. I hope you get it sorted, but once you do youll have to fix a few things to prevent this again.

im also guessing you never fixed your boost spike problem either...did you not take it to your tuner to get sorted??
