I have 5w-30 mobil in mine. Key to oil is change it when it's dirty, you'll get a million different answers on what to run.

Amsoil 10/30. Thinking about running rotella 15/40 with the current FI. Hell, most built motors run 20/50. I have ran 15/40 in lq4 and up 6.0 trucks for years with zero issues. Like said before you will get 100 different opinions.

This has more to do with the designed clearances in the rotating assembly than anything else. Stock bottom end= 5w30; built motor= whatever you or the builder designed it to run...
I'm using Redline 5w30 in mine, FWIW.
