GM Offer Us A Spoiler Delete!
This has been discussed a lot but hasn't been brought up in awhile. GM needs to hear us and offer a spoiler delete. We have gotten them to offer the blues for the SS and the polished wheels on the RS. It is going to be a hassle for all of the people who want a high wing spoiler on an SS or RS because of the holes. We would have to get a new trunk or have the holes filled. And not to mention the rally stripes would have to be replaced also since they go over the lip spoiler. Bodywork on a brand new car!!!

Also, the car looks amazing spoilerless - gives the back end a really nice point that just doesn't show up with the spoiler equipped. Mine (1LT) will definitely stay spoilerless.
- Xanthos P.S. - Totally /signed. I was surprised that they didn't present this option.

You may want to check further, but I have read here that the holes for both spoilers are the same. A little research here usually offers answers to any question.

The holes for the regular spoiler and the ducktail are the same, but the high wing spoiler is different. It is mounted more in the middle of the trunk instead of the back edge like the others.

Spoiler delete would make too much sense so don't expect it.

It shouldn't be to hard to do, since the LS and LT models without the RS package come without a spoiler.

I would like to see this option. It might take off a few bucks from the spoiler. Alternatively, GM could require that any spoiler delete money be used as a credit toward GMPP parts. That would encourage people to buy GMPP accessories.

Or it would work just like the mustang, where deleting the spoiler just gets rid of the spoiler, not its cost. Remember that more options = higher cost, meaning that keeping the spoiler cost probably barely offsets the higher production cost.

just can't seem to leave

it don't make a difference to me... i'm getting the blade spoiler when it's offered & it looks to use the same holes as the stock one, but that option would be easy. they can just install a trunk lid from an LS/LT

Its not that the option is difficult to execute, its that if they were to do that they would have to pay somebody to check the orders to see which decklid to use, and then pay somebody to select the correct decklid, and then pay somebody to check and make sure the correct decklid was installed, and then if it wasn't scrap the one (swallowing that cost) and install the other - all of which adds time which reduces profit - it could easily cost more than the 250 for the spoiler. I think they should do it, but the price should remain the same.
