Little 2 lane country roads are the WORST place to go 150. I do it on the Autobahn and it is still hairy...a bird, deer, a POTHOLE even, and you're dead. At the ripe old age of 16.

There are also PLENTY of people (none on this forum I hope) who have made or will make that mistake, who are well into "adulthood" Camaro_boy, if you're being truthful about being smart about your speed, then kudos to you! As everyone said, take it to a track and fully enjoy what the machine is capable of... in a safe manner. As for the rest of the time, best just to settle for awesome acceleration and handling, and save the top-speed thrill for the track. |

I just want to put this in terms that can be understood. I did some math here. At 150mph, you are covering 2.5 miles every minute. Let me break than down further for you. That's 440 feet every 6 seconds. That's roughly 150 yards every 2 SECONDS. Ok, now let me give you a visual. You will be covering a FOOTBALL FIELD AND A HALF every 2 seconds or, three quarters of a football field every second. If a deer jumps into the road 20 feet in front of you, you have .27 seconds to react. That's all without even defeating the limiter.
I'm really glad you decided to not do this. I was honestly worried for you. |
