Billy, I also agree with this or at least be aware of it and keep an eye on temps when running hard. We always had aftermarket radiators in our cars so I can't comment on how the stock will hold up. You will certainly be pushing it with the increased power. As a ballpark, if you are running an out of the crate GM LSX 454 with ls7 manifold and injectors with proper tune, headers/exhaust and intake we consistently pulled around 510 hp to the wheels. Drove great and still got in the 20's for mpg.

Yes, that is one case where an LSX 454 crate blew up. I certainly do not doubt Janetty's tuning abilities, so bad block/ machinework/ component? Quite possibly, as is the case with everything. Has a stock LS3 ever blown up? yup. Just because there has been one instance of failure under boost doesn't mean they are all going to blow up. On the same note I will always recommend having trusted machine shop build a motor to suite over buying a crate motor.

We have rads but im running the 454lsx with a blower and have zero cooling problems,i would stay stock. Also we make a StreetSlayer that will bolt right in and retain your stock slave. Its the greatest driving clutch hands down and is rebuildable. If we can help you out give us a call

If he isn't having cooling issues with the blower on top, then you should be just fine Billy.

Thomas, do you have 8 and 9 bolt flywheels to go with your clutches?
