I dunno, do you see a 10K car / wagon

Are those strips on the sides correct?

Most likely not even the paint is correct. Nor is the interior I'll tell you now. Aside from the bench seats and some of the dash, it's been majorly overhauled (of course).

But for what was done, it's worth 10K easily as a starting base. IMO I'd look into turning it into a bruiser drag strip cruiser.. granted after that 350/TH350 line gets pulled for a TR6060/LSX.

Also a down side is it only seats 6, not really a classic wagon with out the backwards facing 3rd row seat

Just leaves more room to tub the rear and install some sort of mad franken-rear end setup..

Wagon Chevelle doing a wheelie.. who doesn't want to see that?

It actually looks pretty correct except for the radio and center console.

That black trim looks like stainless surround from the old vinyl "woody" scheme.

Your were close about the trim, it`s a Concours Estate Wagon without the vinyl inserts. I`m pretty sure the outside trim was a plastic simulated blond wood trim. Not really sure why they would leave the trim pieces and then paint them black, to me it would have looked much better without it.

I dunno.. I think it's got it's own charm as a black accent on the body panel lines. If I had 10K lying around I'd make the trip.

These are the only thing I care for less than a four door Chevelle. Clean wagon nonetheless.

3M and Avery offer sheet "carbon fiber", like the old sheet "woodgrain". Wonder what it'd look like as the Concours Carbon Fiber Edition?

Looks like it didn't sell

Last bid
US $7,900.00
Reserve not met

The Hotwheels version of the 70s SS 'velle wagon is better, just the strips on the hood, nothing on the sides plus no rack on top.

to some other comments, Its 5 doors on a GM wagon, not 4
[It opens like a regular door, plus will flip down. 2 doors in 1]

Why they are cooler then just a plain 4 door car.

I guess chevelles.com has it wrong too....
70, 71, & 72 Wagons

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1970, 71 & 72 Wagons are very similar, as you can see in the picture I took at the Spring 2001 Carlisle, PA swap meet. During the years of 70 to 72, Chevelle wagons were only available in 4 door versions. In 1970 the wagon along with it's cousin Chevelle, received a body design change. The majority stayed the same as 68 & 69 with exception the the tail lights, head lights, grill and dash board being some of the biggest differences. Among many other things this changed the radiator support, fenders, hood and the doors received safety steel bar inside
