Came across the article on Google. Never knew there was an intimidator version of our 5th gen.

I think the Dale Earnhardt dealership does special editions of about everything. Often they are just appearance packages, so at least this is more than that.

Damn I wish I had some extra cash. I sure do miss ole 3 even after 21 years. That’s a beautiful car.

Almost all of my car stuff started out as #3. That's still my go to number for most stuff. I faintly remember watching the race that day with my dad, boy was it a uneasy thing to hear.
Can't resist but to throw up the article main pic, it looks so good! |

Mike Helton’s press conference will be forever etched in my brain.

Awesome pic!!! I take it you were their that day?
I bet nascar would be different as a whole if he was still around. His take on the tech in the next Gen car would probably be entertaining. Hard to believe he and RC would both be in their 70’s. I met Richard Childress about 2 years ago, shook his hand and all on top of Austin Dillions Hauler Phoenix. He was very friendly. I’ve done the tour at the RCR museum too. So much cool history their. I still pull for Harvick even though he’s moved on the SHR and driving those POS mustangs. I pull for Him as my favorite driver of the last 21 years but I pull for pretty much all of team Chevy except for Chase Elliot. I love it when he makes an ass of himself like he did last weekend This inside Dillions hauler, my brother in law is friends with one of his engineers who goes all the way back to the KHI days. The nascar hot pass is an awesome experience.

Yes I was there that day. I remember that race day more clearly than any other I’ve been to. We left right after the finish. Did not think Dale was hurt bad, but as we were leaving I saw them come and get Jr. from pit road and then I was worried. We were parked way out from the track and when we were waiting for a bus is when the news went through the crowd that he was gone. It was hard to believe. I’ve never really rooted for any individual driver since, I just kind of pull for the Chevrolet cars in general.

I've got a few pics of Dale at what used to be Sears Point in Sonoma. I worked as a cable runner for the ESPN camera man and ran around wherever he went. Starting line, pits and interviews. Jeff Gordon won that day in 2000, but being in the pits with Dale was quite an experience.
Miss those days. |
