Hey on the website, it says you can get a free iPad if you purchase a car this month. I wonder if CamaroScotty can top that.

Maribel N. says:
Hello bob. My name is Emily how can I help you?
bob says:
if i place an order for a z/28 when is the earliest i can take delivery?
Maribel N. says:
At this point I do have a list of those who are wanting the 2011 Z28
Maribel N. says:
Once the car goes into production the wait period should be about 6 weeks.
bob says:
when will it go into production?
Maribel N. says:
We've been advised about 1 year from now
bob says:
what is the msrp?
Maribel N. says:
we will not know untill the vehicle come out
bob says:
I'm not sure I understand. You are taking orders on a car that doesn't exist?
Maribel N. says:
that is correct because when the car does come out it will go to the people have been waiting, it is coming out
bob says:
OK... I think I'll just wait until I can negotiate a price. Thanks for your time Emily....
Maribel N. says:
your welcome have a good evening

I am split between sreaming; yes it is coming and no; they are just people trying to get peoples' hopes up and are liars. The thing that makes me say that this is legit is the idea that how can a dealership con you into making a desposit on a car that will never hit the production line and run away with your money?

I would be very careful about placing downpayments with dealerships on a car that is not 110% confirmed for build let alone delivery. With so many dealers just closing down, you never know when that particular dealer is going to shut down without giving you back your down payment.

If you want to have one of the first Z/28's when they become available, put a $500 deposit down at a reputable dealer. Do it with the owner of the dealership, that way when the Z comes out you would have dealt with someone who still works there and there will be no problems.

Most of America does the very same with the IRS...why should this be any different? I'm sure there will be many takers.

You know the sad part here...if I was in a spot of financial security and could afford to take the risk I would in a heartbeat put my money down to be one of the first...sadly I live the life of the average joe making payments on a car he loves that DOES exist

Yup that's me! I disagree that courtesy doesn't know anything. They have some employees (Dave Blankinship & and few others) that are very knowledgeable. They were some of the most knowledgeable of any dealer I talked to back when I was ordering last March. I know they were taking preorders for the vert before it's production date was announced but at least the car had actually been announced!

Z28 Orders

It's all about money or getting you into the dealership. How do you know your the 1st one, someone else can offer more money and then they will be told their 1st on the list. Which list, the $500 down list or the $1,000 list??? There's no such car to order or buy. Also how many will want the Z28 if it has less horsepower, maybe a 4cyl with Super Charger, like the new Buick Grand Sport and in the 70's it had a 455ci.
