OP, I plasti-dipped mine not long ago.

I bought 5 cans from Home Depot, Lowe's has it too. It's like 5.98 a can.

I took my wheels off to do it and took my time. It's extremely easy to apply. I drove it for a few weeks with it on there, it took about 30 minutes total to remove. Though, the thicker you apply, the easier it is to remove. Basically you clean your wheel, spray a light coat, wait a bit for it to dry, rinse and repeat, adding a little more each time. 4-5 coats will do the trick.

My bowties and tail light bezels are plasti-dipped now and I'm thinking about doing it to the rims again. I highly recommend it!
I think I might do it. That is once the snow melts...

I have been researching the plasti dip. this product seems pretty cool especially you wanna change the color of something but don't have to worry if you change your mind later. I am curious if anyone has tried to change the color of there stripes with this stuff rather then removing the stripes and applying new stripes since i would have the option of going back to original. i am just afraid it will peel rather easy because it has a visible edge right on the hood. has anyone tried this yet?

I did mine last summer, still look great. Its not a daily driver tho. Very easy to apply and comes off like it was never there.

DD put parked in garage at work and garage at home.
But in the Texas heat and sun fades, I need to re-coat mine, getting close to a year.

Google some Youtube videos on doing it

Check your local hardware store for spray cans. (Got mine at Home Depot)

Yes its easy, but takes some time. (I did about 6 very thin coats and waited about 20 minutes between coats.)

I did my emblems, not my rims. Spent about 30 minutes getting everything taped off to prevent over spray.

I also did my wheels bout 3-4 months ago and never had any problems until I got new tires. Took bout 30 min. to peel off and plan on recoating when it stays warm. Bought mine at Lowe's for 5.98 a can.

Clean your rims very well. and make sure they are dry before you start spraying.

Stick index cards between the rims and the tire, makes life easier at the end.

Cover your brakes with a trashbag

first coat is a light dusting, wait 15 min

second coat is another light dusting, wait 15 min

third coat you can add a little more and repeat. I did 5 coats on mine and it has held up great. Like somebody mentioned above, tire shine works great to give it a nice clean look.
