Clear Plasti Dip
Sorry guys I hope that this is not in the wrong place. I have a question on clear plasti dip. If I spray my wheels with clear plasti dip will this hold up to the salt, brake dust and cold during the winter? I have a 2012 BMW as a DD and want to put something on the wheels to protect them during the winter. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Oklahoma isn't as cold as Pennsylvania nor do we get as much snow and ice. I can tell you that my wheels, with 5 coats of black and 4 coats (or was it only 3) of clear, have held up very well. While Oklahoma doesn't get as much snow and ice we are definitely more paranoid about it and tend to dump 10 times more sand/salt than we need to just for a little bit of snow. If you're really worried, Plasti-Dip makes a new sealer for their products now. As best I recall you have to reapply every 2-4 weeks but it's supposed to make the dip really hard.

Thanks for the help. Did you just buy it in a quart can and spray it on the wheels? The clear?

Just a rattle can, same thing for the black. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow. With DST ending I've been working before the sun goes up till after it goes down. Hard to take pictures of black wheels in the dark.
