Road Trip Help!*!* - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am leaving tomorrow to go on a road trip from NJ to Florida. I am debating whether or not to take the camaro or my 2011 E550 Convertible.

Some concerns with takign the Camaro are the fact no spare tire, comfortability for that long of a ride, and I can't find any others lol.

Camaro 5 help me out with some pros and cons of taking the Maro instead of the Benz...

very very comfy......been on 900 mile runs.....PIECE OF CAKE.....depending where in Florida your going.....you'll only be goin a littler farther! TAKE THE CAMARO

I've done a few 6000 mile road trips in 14 days, so yeah, the Camaro is a comfortable road trip car....

Question is: any kids in the back? If so, take the E550. Otherwise the Camaro will be fine.

and you have sludge and a compressor in lue of a spare

i love the camaro but the benz should be a more comfy ride.. but i'd still take the camaro cause i love them

I'd take the vert due to destination. But I'm also a bit biased that way.

I've done a trip from VA to FL in the camaro and I enjoyed it. Couple good straight sections in a few states. Towards the end I got a little fatigued because I was just ready to be there not because of the car.

But since you asked:

Pro: Camaro looks better than Vert
Con: Camaro probably uses more gas. ( I think I had maybe 2 fill-ups)

Pro: you get to experience a road trip in the camaro
Con: You may not like it?

Pro: Cops will be hunting for Camaro
Con: ........

My pro and cons suck to be honest hahahaha. Just go in the Camaro!

If there are more than 2 people going that the MB, if you need a lot of trunck space take the MB. Otherwise the Camaro seats are plenty comfortable, not the best but still comfortable. Camaro is definitely more fun to drive.

I've driven my Camaro from Detroit to Philly and then NYC. It's the best highway car. Smooth and quiet.
