Short answer is all the modules will need to come over. That will save a lot of work trying to figure out which ones are tied together and which ones aren't. For example, I believe the fuel control model is the same on the SS and LS/LT, but it is tied to the BCM. I could be wrong about that, but why waste time finding that out in the middle of swapping everything into your body.

Take your time and do your research. This is probably one of the greatest builds on this site. Keep it up

UPDATE: We will be taking out the engine and transmission tomorrow so that can give is some room to find out what's wrong with the clutch pedals and stuff. Will update with pictures in the morning as we are working!

Nice thread I like your idea. I am planning to do so by the end of this year beginning of next. I worked out all the details its not hard as long as you do the small things first. I've done the fuel pump, suspension, master cylinder, brakes, spindles and hubs, electrical etc. I recommend a good smog guy for the obvious (cough cough act natural wink wink) before you start. Can't wait to see how everything turns out. Will you be machining the block or keep as is?

Might as well be an SS. It has the suspension, braking, and engine of one. The insurance companies get over on us all the time.

Sorry everyone for not updating for a few days, we are trying to work everything out first and talk to people who know what all electronics have to be swapped before we start putting the motor or trans in. And we are trying to get the insurance swapped over to my other Camaro so I can drive it everyday while this car is getting torn apart. As soon as we get a couple things figured out on stuff that will have to be switched so it will start when the motor goes in, I will update and make sure to go into detail on what all had to be swapped. Should be starting within a few days as long as weather holds off since the donor car is outside. We have a date that we need it done by so hopefully everything plays out good and goes as planned. Date planned is before 9-20-2014.

With the SS ecu, it should be possible to swap with any Ls engine, right?
