I live in the Seattle area - even on a sunny day, it doesn't get HOT. So, usually windows up. If it's nice enough, then I open the sunroof

I like them down, but can't really do it allot where I live unless its a cool night, or in the fall.
Way to hot/humid most of the summer so I keep them up with the ac on. March and April had perfect window down weather, but the damn green crap from over excited trees instantly sticks to everything so cleaning that from a black interior = not fun. |

Windows are always up, i ride around with the A/C. I just can't do it with so much pollen around right now. I will put the windows down to listen my exhaust when the pollen goes away.

I drive pretty much all the time with them down. I always have, love having the wind blowing around. I have even been known to have the windows down AND the AC on on really hot days!
And in the winter... windows down and heater on! Whenever I drove my wife's MX5 Miata in the winter, I would still have the top down when it was freezing and below. Put on a nice jacket, heaters on, seat warmers on, and you have a nice toasty cocoon! Only thing that gets cold is yer ears! Conversely, in the summer, I would still have the top down when it was 114°F! Toasty! Sunblock and you are golden! I don't see the point in having a convertible if you don't use the flippin thing!

Commits weekly crime
|
Quote:
I grew up sailing and able to feel wind, and like Dale Earnhardt, I can "feel" other cars around me because of the wind pressure. I also use my mirrors and such, but having the windows down give me that extra sensory input that helps keep me situationally aware. Plus, I love the wind through my hair (even if I don't have a convertable).

Even in freezing temperatures.... I love to roll with the windows down.
Anyone ever see the film Gumball Rally?? It's a classic 1970's road race comedy. New York to California in some ridiculous crazy time. Most of those cars were roadsters... driving cross country... TOP DOWN AND WINDOWS OPEN! Love it!

I almost never drive with my windows up, ever. I just need that breeze and to have my hand out the window; just feels right. I haven't used AC in almost a year and a half except for the days I played basketball and absolutely needed to cool down quick.
