Talk to me about Lysholm superchargers

Why don't more people put Lysholm supercharges on their Camaros? Reading about them they seem to offer good rwhp and torque compared to Maggie's/ slp etc and are much cheaper.

Looks like 600/600 is attainable with smaller pulley and long tubes.

There are a lot of threads and info about the other choices both centri and pd but very few threads about the lysholm. I guess I am just looking for some reassurance they are dependable (this will be a street car/daily driver 98 percent of the time) and to see if anyone has had any issues with them

Thanks for the responses -looking for something to spend year end bonus on next week.

A shop near me uses them as they are part of Vortech. The shop near me is RMCR( great guys if you have questions and they'll take care of you when it comes time to blow that bonus.

My Vortech-Lysholm sc has been great. I drive my car all the time in the Summer, have never had one issue. PM your email I can send some pics and give you some good information on it.

I installed one of these blowers and it seems to run good BUT the lower manifold casting was falling apart. around the intake port gaskets. I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this.

I never had any problems with mine, and I never heard of this being a issue. The companies like ECS, and Matt from FSP said only good things about this blower.

94guy, Did the guys from Vortech take care of this for your friend? Frank and others from Vortech sale/staff have been great to me over the years.

Also if you guys wanna see one making big numbers go to YouTube type Camaro lysholm (it's red jewel color) ECS built it, and it's making 7xx/7xx with their blower cam and custom 8 rib set up.

I meant, does anyone know someone with one installed on a GT500 or C5.

They are not common on any of the sites I frequent and there must be a reason for that...
